What We Need:

Our Austin, TX studio is seeking a senior level Designer to help drive innovation and excellence in the legendary NBA 2K franchise.

What You Will Do:

Mentorship and management of a small group of designers
Work closely with other designers and team members to forge innovation in sports gaming
Communicate designs clearly by way of prototypes, documentation, and visual guides
Script game and camera logic
Work closely with Design leadership to achieve amazing standards
Learn from and grow with some of the top talent in the industry

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:

At least 5+ years of experience in a senior designer role
Small team management experience
Skilled in every aspect of game design: mechanisms, systems, economy, etc.
Deep understanding of game design fundamentals: communication, motivation, learning, balance, pacing, and flow
Deep understanding of User Experience and the relationship between a designer and player
Strong technical skills with experience in scripting and implementing designs
Self-aware, life learner, always keeping up with the latest technology, workflow tips and tools
Can work to specification and to schedule, in an existing pipeline, and equally work with minimal instruction if needed
