Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a front end engineer to join the battle.net team. This engineer can expect to create mobile-optimized versions of battle.net websites such as the World of Warcraft, Starcraft II, Diablo III community sites, and account management. The ideal candidate is an expert with web development for mixed platforms, including phones, tablets, and PCs.

The front end engineer will collaborate with user experience designers, graphic designers, back end engineers, other front end engineers, and producers to create epic and efficient Web applications used by millions of people worldwide. The ideal candidate is aware of web and mobile technology trends, familiar with browser compatibility nuances, and is eager to apply the latest tools and techniques to enable an engaging out-of-game experience.

Requirements
A minimum of 5 years' industry experience; 2 years' mobile website experience
Expert knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, DOM, and HTML 5 features
Extensive experience with Ajax and JavaScript libraries like jQuery or YUI
Experience using an MVC framework like Spring, Struts, or Zend
Familiar with HTTP and basic networking concepts
Basic proficiency with Photoshop
Passion for web development and gaming

Pluses
Experience creating native mobile applications
Experience adding mobile offerings to existing high-profile websites
Experience emulating Flash-like experiences through standard browser APIs
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming in languages like Java, C++, Objective-C, PHP, or equivalent
Knowledge of FreeMarker, JSP, and / or XSLT
Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
