Blizzard Entertainment’s next-gen MMO team is looking for a highly organized individual with outstanding communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate has prior experience in game development and has a keen knowledge of how each discipline operates and interacts. Self-direction and follow-up skills are a must, as well as the ability to anticipate production issues and find effective solutions. The candidate must enjoy seeing a project from inception to completion and delivering games on time with the highest quality.
Liaise with different departments to facilitate communication – specifically game design, art, and engineering team members.
Work with department leads to determine resources necessary to see projects through to completion.
Coordinate, track, and manage the activities of personnel to ensure that project tasks are completed on time.
Provide motivation and direction to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved.
Facilitate team and department meetings to reach decisions effectively.
Contribute to a positive work environment and ensure project forward momentum.
Assist the production director and other producers with creative and organizational tasks as necessary.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the video game industry
At least one AAA title shipped in a producer role
Able to communicate effectively with design, art, programming, and business personnel
Experience managing teams and delivering products on time
Knowledge of software development process, project management, and performance management
Proven experience managing schedules and employees to achieve desired results
Experience with game development pipelines and potential bottlenecks
Exceptional inter-personal skills and oral and written communication skills
Able to facilitate and mediate between members of the executive, development, sound, cinematics, online technologies, quality assurance, video production, marketing, and public relations teams
Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative
Passion for video games (especially Blizzard Entertainment titles)
Art, Computer Science, or Software Engineering degree / background
Experience managing large scale content creation pipelines from end to end
Past art, engineering, or game design work experience
Experience producing centralized technology or tools departments
