Community Feature Designer
Turtle Rock Studios is seeking a talented Community Feature Designer to work with us on an upcoming AAA title. The job will require working closely with designers, engineers and artists to brainstorm ideas, design, help implement and tune various in-game and on-line community features. This designer must be an active gamer and community member and have fresh ideas relating to friends networks, websites, tournaments, premium packages, etc.

Responsibilities

Work closely with designers, engineers and artists to brainstorm ideas, design, implement and tune various in-game and on-line community features designed to strengthen and expand the core game experience.
Generate documentation to clearly communicate ideas and goals.
Analyze playtest data, player experiences and feedback and adjust accordingly.
Social features, reward structures, player accessibility, viral aspects, monetization, etc.

Experience Required

Extensive knowledge of community and social features related to multiplayer games and on-line communities.
Candidate must have at least one year of experience where they had a direct impact on community features.
Excellent oral and written communication skills – a strong ability to work across multiple disciplines to gather feedback and address cross-functional design issues.
Passionate gamer with knowledge and understanding of various games and game types
Disciplined, self-managed and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Recommended

Experience with Co-op and FPS games an obvious plus.
Experience with web technologies, such as Javascript, HTML5, etc.
