In 1997, we started Sucker Punch Productions to make great games, and we’ve spent the last 14 years doing just that. We produced three award-winning PS2 games starring the wily raccoon thief Sly Cooper, all of which met with critical acclaim, commercial success, and file cabinets full of fan mail. Some of it written in crayon. In May 2009, we released the open-world superhero game inFAMOUS, which set the stage for Cole MacGrath's story and met with excellent reviews and solid footing at the top of the PS3 sales charts. June 7, 2011 marked the launch of inFAMOUS 2 that furthered Cole's superhero action-adventure story. As for our next game… well, that’s where you come in!

Job Descriptiontop

The Layout Designer is responsible for the fun and function of the environment, starting with the initial planning and prototyping of a space, and following through with navigation and pathfinding mark-up. This role requires a blend of strong Maya skills and design instincts. While traditional art skills are not the focus, aesthetic sensibilities are still important.

Requirements/Pluses
o Detailed knowledge of Maya, with a strength in modeling
o Comfortable collaborating with 3d modelers and game designers
o Local to the Seattle, Washington area
o Self-motivated and with a keen attention to detail, highly-organized

Duties and Responsibilities
o Create the initial plan for a space, including a rough layout
o Implement detailed navigation meshes for the game path and for each environment asset
o Add gameplay rigging to the environment itself and to individual assets
o Participate with the Environment Team and Design Team to diagnose and resolve technical issues relating to gameplay rigging
o Integrate, design and build breakable environment assets
o Model and optimize collision meshes
