Core Engineer
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Core Engineer to join our team at the Visceral Redwood Shores Studio. This is a major opportunity to contribute to an exciting new IP.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with other engineers to enhance and integrate new features into core systems (e.g. rendering, physics, terrain, tools)
* Create engine systems that meet performance requirements and push DX11 technology
* Work closely with the design and art teams to further the project’s gameplay and artistic vision
* Create and maintain asset pipelines, as needed
* Profile and optimize code and systems to remove bottlenecks
* Test and document the code you write
Requirements
* B.S. (or higher) degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
* 5+ years of professional C/C++/C# experience
* Strong knowledge of 3D math
* Expertise in a core engineering domain: e.g. rendering, physics, terrain, tools, build pipeline, animation, audio
* Multiple shipped titles on PC or current-gen console
* High standards of work and desire to meet and exceed expectations
* Strong teamwork skills, but also the ability to take ownership and work independently
* Passion for advancing the state of the art
