Flexible. Organized. Brilliant. Innovative. Bad at Poker. Those are just of the few words that describe our favorite kind of people. At Carbine Studios, we're looking for employees with a passion for video games. We value people with cross-discipline talents who enjoy working with others, and who can point to a history of success in collaborative environments.

Experience is important, and we've got loads of it here in the studio. We're pretty proud to have some of the most talented and creative veterans in gaming on our team. But we're also seeking people that can articulate their opinions on what it takes to create the next great MMO, regardless of your experience.

We're located in Aliso Viejo, California. It's warm here most all the time, and we're located an hour from L.A. and 90 minutes from San Diego. From wine tasting to Disney (or wine tasting at Disney), there's something for just about everyone in these parts. Our office is 10 minutes away from sandy beaches, walking distance to any chain store you can name, and with a collection of great restaurants where you'll often find Carbine staffers sharing lunch during the week.

We've got free snacks and sodas, and we encourage our staff to spend time getting to know each other over video and board games. There are weekly social gatherings, holiday parties, game days, baseball games, dodge ball teams, paint ball outings, classic role-play gaming groups for beginners and experts, and so much more. Play hard, work hard- you know the deal.

Carbine is also a place where diversity is both appreciated and supported. If you want to work in an environment where you are recognized for great work and are hungry for the chance to make your mark, then isn't it time we saw your resume?

Job Descriptiontop

Wildstar is an exciting new next-generation MMORPG with innovative elements never before seen in the genre. Our vision is to revolutionize the world of massively-multiplayer online games, creating a world with not only stunning visual beauty but also original gameplay to both excite experienced gamers and attract new ones into the genre.

Carbine designs and operates servers that allow gamers to play with anyone, anytime, anywhere in the world – our motto is “play how you want, when you want, and with whom you want” – although not every employee is grammatically pedantic enough to consistently use “with whom”.

Your part of this? Well, part of playing how and when you want is exposing some of our cool unannounced features into mobile and smartphone applications. So if you dream about creating groundbreaking game extension experiences for Wildstar, then this next sentence is for you: We are looking for a talented and passionate developer to join (and really help form) our extended experience team building mobile applications. We’ve got a lot of passionate game developers looking to provide you with support, but we need someone knowledgeable and passionate to head it up. Hopefully that’s you.

REQUIREMENTS:

- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent training and professional experience
- 7+ years mobile development experience with proven track record of successfully deploying stable, complex mobile applications.
- 7+ years programming non-mobile applications.
- Deep knowledge of iPhone/iPad and Android platforms and toolsets. Familiarity with various OS versions and capabilities for each platform.
- Ability to work closely with server programmers and graphic designers
- Passionate about games and delivering great user experiences that keep gamers immersed in Wildstar.

A casual work environment, comprehensive benefits package, and competitive salary are all part of the package.
