Bungie seeks a scrappy, brilliant programmer to weld 50 caliber machine guns onto the back of our toy trucks, and to develop a new shovel for building bullet proof sandcastles. If you can easily hold complex, self-consistent alternate realities in your head and transcribe them into code, then we want to hear from you.

As a Gameplay Programmer at Bungie, you will play an integral role in bridging the last mile technology between game design, art and our engine. Your work will play a key role as we break new ground in game simulation, simulation driven effects and sounds, designing optimal environment representations, and improving the workflow of environment building. Most importantly you will work with a fun, dedicated, driven and energetic team devoted to creating the best and most technically impressive games in the world.

Required Skills
-Professional experience programming in the game industry and proven ability to independently design and maintain large software systems OR
-Prior game programming experience via professional, academic, personal or intern projects
-Experience creating data driven game play and game simulation systems
-Strong applied C++ programming experience
-Proven ability to independently design and maintain complex software systems
-Excellent interdisciplinary communication skills
-Ability to translate feature requests into robust and extensible customer systems
-Strong math background (vector geometry, linear algebra, etc.)
-4 year degree in computer science, applied mathematics or related fields
-Strong game design sensibilities
-Passion for great games, great technology and gameplay programming
-Experience working on a team and excellent communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills
-PS3/Next generation console/device experience
-Experience as a senior engineer on a large team
-Embraces emergent phenomenon
-Fluent in both Designer and Artist
