Digital Extremes first became known with the co-creation of Epic’s Unreal franchise, which has won numerous awards and sold millions of units. Following the success of the franchise, Digital Extremes entered the new generation of consoles with Dark Sector – the highly anticipated 3rd person action game. Dark Sector was the first release to be made with Digital Extremes’ proprietary Evolution Engine, a graphically rich gaming engine all built in-house. Following Dark Sector, Digital Extremes’ began the first of many collaborations with 2K Games – creating the entire Multiplayer portion of Bioshock 2. Since the days of the glaive and demon arms, Digital Extremes has warped into space with its latest project: Star Trek. Digital Extremes is looking for talented Skybox Matte painters to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Art Director and Concept Artists to produce stunning, believable sky boxes and vistas.
• Work with Graphics Programmers to develop shaders and technology specific to skies.
• Generate models, textures and data for real time 3d engines and design awe inspiring, high quality 3D game worlds.
• Actively accept and provide feedback from other artists.
• Multitask effectively, prioritize competing demands, and follow through on details.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years previous experience in the video game industry.
• A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual and technical understanding in modeling, rendering & texturing.
• Excellent understanding of efficient techniques for game production, including asset development processes, limitations and dependencies.
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills, time-management and organizational skills.
• Experience with Maya or 3D Max, Photoshop and ZBrush or Mudbox
• Attention to detail, self-motivated and proactive.
• Have a genuine enthusiasm and interest in video games.
