Pogo has opened a brand new gaming studio in Austin, Texas! This studio is responsible for Pogo's upcoming suite of next generation casual games. These games will be using Pogo's classic IP, but completely re-imagining these titles for IOS and Android Tablet devices.

Job Descriptiontop

Pogo is transitioning its world-class intellectual property to re-imagined 3D experiences for iOS and Android tablets. We are looking for a seasoned C++/C#/Java game developer with experience shipping high-quality games, leading teams and managing engineers. This role will work out of Pogo’s Austin, Texas office.

Responsibilities:

Leads and manages a growing team of engineers.
Ensures game architectures are designed for efficiency and reuse.
Creates reusable technologies for future games.
Collaborates with local and remote teams.
Establishes and enforces performance, size, and bandwidth budgets.
Gathers requirements, designs solutions, implements, tests and debugs.
Delivers technology solutions with minimal direction.
Provides input and guidance on hardware purchases, configuration, and deployment.
Mentors developers in best practices and methodologies.
Identifies risks and works effectively to mitigate them.

Required Experience:

BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
5+ years C++, C#, Java, and/or Objective-C software development
2+ years management experience
Experience developing:
Unity3D games
iOS and/or Android apps
3D real-time applications (console games, scientific simulations, etc)
Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Familiarity with client/server architectures
Knowledge of server side application architecture and design
Able to effectively and quickly build and establish relationships
Self-starter who proactively works towards continuous improvement
Proficient in Object-Oriented Design
Experience with API Development/Gaming Frameworks
Desire to learn and grow professionally
Ability to adapt and be effective in new situations in a highly dynamic environment
Passion for creating fun, casual entertainment
