Pogo has opened a brand new games studio in Austin, Texas! This studio is responsible for Pogo's upcoming suite of next generation casual games. These games use Pogo's classic IP, but completely re-imagine the titles for IOS and Android Tablet devices.
Pogo is seeking a talented Producer for our Austin team. This candidate will be a leader in designing and launching Pogo’s upcoming Smart Phone and Tablet casual, curated games service. This senior position will be responsible for the creative vision, user experience strategy, and overall strategy of Pogo’s Smart Phone and Tablet game titles. The ideal candidate will be an expert in defining new games, improving existing games, and understanding the various acquisition, engagement, and monetization strategies of individual games to drive value to a gaming service. This role will be a blend of creative vision, detailed execution, and relationship management with internal and external gaming studios.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Be a senior member of Pogo’s Product team, including producers, product managers, art & user experience members, and development directors
Build and lead a passionate and talented games team responsible for defining, releasing, and operating one of the largest gaming portal sites in the world
Oversee the design of an upcoming 1st Party Pogo Bingo, Slots, and casual IP gaming titles
Utilize mobile and social game development experience to drive maximum acquisition, engagement, and monetization strategies throughout Pogo’s smart phone and tablet game catalogue
Serve as the thought leader on user experience, service integration, microtransactions, and advertising strategy within Pogo’s library of games
Act as main point of contact with Pogo’s game development partners, including US and International Game Development Shops and all Game Studios within EA’s casual games libraries
Work with Pogo’s product team to define new business models to engage new and existing game developers
Manage Pogo’s titles through the Greenlight process: managing the various publishing, engineering, and product relationships to pass all necessary tollgates
Maintain awareness of all competitive services and features within the services to integrate next-generation social gaming experience and thinking
Ensure target metrics are defined and tracked for all games on the Pogo Service
Partner with product management and development directors to manage the operations for Pogo’s social services and games (i.e. support on-time launch of new game initiatives, ensure 99% uptime reliability, manage costs for all games, etc.)
Act as key escalation point to resolve issues between engineering, product management, business leads and product leads
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years experience in game production or product management
2+ shipped social or mobile product/game launches
Experience in social and mobile acquisition, engagement, and monetization strategies
Passion for great consumer experiences with proven ability to deliver
Ability to develop and communicate vision and achieve buy in from large organizations with a creative culture
Ability to drive high velocity, high impact development cycles in an agile fashion, balancing out short term needs and long term vision
Ability to adapt and be effective in new situations a highly dynamic environment
Ability to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence and confidence
Self starter who is able to identify and solve problems
Experience working with multiple teams across multiple locations
Passion for interactive entertainment a big plus
