Create visually impressive in-game effects for environments, combat, characters, and vehicles while working closely with Artists, Programmers, Designers, and Animators. The FX Artist must have a strong combination of both art and technical skills to create stunning visual effects across diverse aesthetic looks all while managing the impact it has on in-game performance.
A successful candidate will be someone with a strong interest in new technology and has the desire and ability to learn new tools quickly
Create and pitch creative and visually stunning effects while maintaining engine-efficiency.
Work with Artists, Designers, Programmers, and Animators to implement effects.
Work closely with Graphics Programmers to help develop new effects systems and tools.
Work closely with Artists to create Artist friendly shaders
Responsible for Final polish of in-game and cinematic fx
Experience with Photoshop
Competent in modeling with Max
Experience with Fume FX, Blender particle tools
Experience with Unity 4 Particle FX tools (Shuriken)
Understand limitations of current generation hardware and experience with GPAD, Pix, and other profiling software.
Strong texturing skills
