What it's all about:
As a Gamerunner you will set direction, priorities, and deliverables, serving as the general manager for one of our franchise partnerships. Your areas of responsibility will include customer acquisition, service planning and design, monetization, and player engagement and retention. This role is a central part of our new franchise development team and is critical in ensuring our games achieve their full potential.
What you’ll do day to day:
*Work closely with the Sleepy Giant executive team, in particular with the CEO and franchise development teams
*Manage the relationships with the franchise partner, game developer, and 3rd party vendors
*Prepare business plans to help launch major game or entertainment franchises
*Assist with the creation of new game concepts from defining the target audience to determining the high-level game experience
*Design, launch, and grow game services
*Establish game positioning, identify relevant benchmarks and understand consumer research
*Identify key-success factors and maintain continuous analytics
*Coordinate with product development, technology, web development and marketing teams to meet player needs
*Plan and execute a product roadmap to meet goals via a weekly deployment cycle
*Manage your own projects, bringing new ideas to make the company better every day
*Prepare documentation for board meetings, investor meetings, and funding proposals
What you need to have:
*MBA or equivalent skills: We don’t care how you acquired the ability to model various business scenarios or develop killer launch plans - you just have to have it.
*3+ years successfully leading production and managing the live game service and operations teams
*Passion for mobile, tablet, and online games
*Experience creating and executing a user acquisition and marketing strategy for mobile apps and games
*Broad knowledge of business operations, with the ability to dive deep into specific areas when needed: You will be running fast and lean and will need to cover a lot of areas, from financial modeling to creative brainstorming.
*Expert product and industry knowledge, active student of the competitive entertainment landscape
*Creativity. If you don’t consider yourself creative, then this isn’t the job for you.
*Excellent communication skills: You’ll need to convince a number of people across various departments to follow your lead.
*Attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem solving skills: Clear thinkers please.
*Proactive, goal-oriented approach, with a self-sustained and tenacious work ethic: The CEO likes to work on the weekends; it’s a plus if he sees you in the office.
