We are seeking a talented 2D /3D generalist – an enthusiastic, flexible, creative person to develop the next generation of Video Poker art. The ideal candidate will create complex art for all aspects of a game's visual design, UI, art, animation, marketing artwork, and more. Blend artistic expertise and technical ability, to create visually stimulating content that will attract players to new video poker experiences.
Conceptualize and Design graphics, layouts, and animations for IGT game products by utilizing knowledge of layout principles, design concepts, branding standards and logo structure - while using a wide range of art techniques, including drawing, painting and animation techniques.
Support and assist art leads and game artists in the creation of art assets for both game production and marketing materials.
Create and design layouts, logos, menus, UIs, buttons, symbol illustrations and animations.
Solid understanding of motion graphics, 2d particle systems, and compositing a BIG Plus.
Design and create 3D models, textures, lighting, and VFX - for use as both runtime and pre-rendered game assets.
Create high-res 3D models of characters, environments, symbols, graphic elements, and props.
Skilled in modeling both hard surface and organic forms - with an excellent understanding of topology and UVs.
Create texture and shader setups (knowledge of color, bump, normal, specularity, and diffuse maps).
Actively participate and offer creative solutions to both art and game design challenges.
Participate in content delivery reviews, milestones, QA/testing, research, etc.
Work on multiple products with an ability to multitask.
Bachelors/ Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
5 to 8 years of graphic design and composition.
Demonstrate strong typography, design and layout skills.
Must have proficient experience layout/composition, illustration, graphic design, color theory and typography.
Advanced experience with Photoshop, illustrator, and after effects, and particle illusion.
Working and technical knowledge of a 3-D package is a plus Maya, Max, Modo or Lightwave.
Knowledge and use of Unity or similar middleware preferred (workflow, tools, lighting, high and low poly modeling, texture paining, surface sampling, particle systems, mapping techniques, UV layout, in-game animation, material setup, layout, sfx, and engine parameters/optimizations desirable).
Understanding of 2D/3D animation/motion graphics production a plus.
Organized, self-directed, efficient and able to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner.
Must be Organized, detailed and collaborative - with the ability to take direction.
Mentor, train and communicate to less experienced team members on art skills and techniques.
Strong communication and problem solving skills.
