Description of Duties:

-An individual contributor that develops, writes and debugs small general sections of code for assigned game software projects.
-Develops, writes, tests, debugs and implements code. Writes clear, maintainable, portable code. Applies professional expertise to review, analyze and test products under development as a contributing member of a production team, to ensure delivery of Nintendo's high standard of quality and timeliness.
-Implements defined tasks of unit / team / projects.
-Receives work in the form of short- and mid-term assignments that sometimes require use of independent judgment that sometimes require the use of independent judgment outside of established procedures.
-Supply supporting information to determine short- and mid-term objectives of assigned unit I team I projects.
-Solves problems that require special knowledge in entry level; good organizational and communication skills. Has talent to come up with creative solutions.
-Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange information related to assigned activities.
-Fast-paced environment with fluctuating production requirements; may be necessary to change specific duties, projects, or schedule on short notice.
-Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Summary of Requirements

-Motivated individual interested in bringing web-oriented technologies to Nintendo platforms!
-Strong programming skill in low-level languages (such as C), object-oriented language and advanced feature (such as C++, STL)
-Working knowledge of current web technologies (including Flash and JavaScript components of browsers)
-Experience in open source project development (e.g. libCURL, FreeType, etc.)
-Development experience converting or extending functionality of WebKit to a new platform is a BIG plus
-Experienced in area of specialization. Typically has 3 to 5 years of progressively complex related experience. Experience working on professional products including shipped software is expected.
-Good understanding of interactive entertainment methodologies and production pipeline; good organizational and communication skills.
-Computer science related college degree or above is expected.
