Amazon Game Studios in Lake Forest, CA is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team to make world-class games for a variety of emerging platforms. You will work with the entire team to make their lives better, streamline their workflow, and help build better quality games at a faster pace. The primary responsibility of the SDET is to work with the team, providing new and improved tools to maximize iteration and validate the functionality of the game. The SDET will design, iterate, and execute on a variety of tools and pipelines, and will also write tests and validation suites.

Specifically, you will:

Collaborate with a small- to medium-sized team of designers, programmers, and artists to develop smart solutions to difficult problems
Challenge yourself and others to constantly raise the bar
Design, develop, and own various tools ranging from content creation tools to data visualizers to game editors to test modes to automated build and test frameworks
Maintain and support existing and new infrastructure
Independently identify the bottlenecks for content creators and improve team efficiency
Understand sources of bugs and write stress tests and unit tests to eliminate them
Help contribute to game design and quality through making more things possible

Experience Requiredtop

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of commercial coding experience in game development.
Experience with commercial game engines like Unity or Unreal.
Demonstrated proficiency in Java / C++ / C#, data structures, performance, and multithreaded programming.
Proficient in a modern scripting language.
Demonstrated ability to write clean, readable, portable, reliable, and optimized tools code.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with 3DS Max plugin and script development.
Mobile game development experience.
Experience with computer game technologies including camera systems, AI programming, physics, 3D programming, animation, and collision detection.
Android development experience.
Flash / ActionScript.
Web server programming experience.
Contributed extensively to the development of tools for at least one shipped game.
