Job Descriptiontop

Under the direction of the Art Director, animators work with the art team to create all of the character and object animations and cinematics required for our current project(s). Animators collaborate with game designers, level designers, engineers, and other artists to ensure that project vision is maintained and that art assets are implemented as intended.

Requirements:

Expert knowledge of the latest version of 3ds Max or Maya.
Solid understanding of art production processes and ability to quickly master proprietary tools.
Passionate interest in games and the future of the gaming industry.
Willing to accept and provide direction, work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks.
Committed, independent, and responsible worker.
Strong time management skills and able to meet deadlines.
Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
Proactive in problem solving with other team members.
A positive and professional attitude.

An expert skill level in one or more of the following production areas and a strong working knowledge of all of them:

Rigging (mechanical and organic characters using bones and Character Studio)
Animation (understanding of weight, balance, timing, follow-through, etc)
Cinematic design (understanding of shot composition and filming and editing techniques)

Pluses:

Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art/Animation or related field
Game Industry experience
Strong technical aptitude related to 3D tools and game engine technologies
Experience with 3D Modeling and UV unwrapping (characters and environments)
Experience with programming or scripting languages
Willing to push yourself artistically and learn new skills
