Do you hate your Driver’s License photo? Not because it’s unflattering but because it doesn’t properly tell the story of who YOU are? Do you piss your family and friends off when doing photos of them because you take forever getting the staging, camera angle, and focal length just right? Do you love games and long to fold your knack for visual storytelling into the player’s experience?
Well, do we have an awesome gig for you!
Our Camera Layout Artist will work with the Director of Photography to shape our project through keyframed camera animation in Maya and in our engine. Great cinematic storytelling skills and an understanding of the language of the camera are a must. Potential candidates will demonstrate a solid grasp on the concepts of framing, lenses, staging, continuity, camera movement, and blocking. Good understanding of acting basics including posing and timing is a plus.
The position is an 8 month in-house contract.
Candidate must be willing to relocate to the Seattle area for the duration of the contract.
Requires at least 2 years experience in games, film, or TV.
Autodesk Maya experience a must.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and succeed in a diverse work environment.
Self motivated team player who proactively seeks feedback and communication.
Ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to company proprietary software.
Technical problem solving.
Experience with an in engine cinematic editor like Unreal Matinee, Source Filmaker, or Crytek Cinema a plus.
Resume and Demo Reel required with breakdown sheet.
