Game Designer - Characters
This design role is responsible for developing unique characters for the game, including but not limited to: concept generation, art feedback, ability development, scripting, testing, and polishing. This individual is an expert at communication who proactively gathers input and builds consensus across multiple disciplines, including Level Design, Story, Art and Animation, Engineering, and Audio, to create an extremely fun, satisfying and polished game experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver the vision of the Creative director, in collaboration with team discipline leads.
Conceive of unique Character concepts and drive them through development to high quality.
Participate in systems design and tuning to create a deep and cohesive gameplay experience.
Proactively seek feedback from the team, QA, and players to provide the best possible experience.
Promote and inspire superior quality design.
Foster constructive, open debates.
Display thorough and mature knowledge of the game development process.
Experience & Qualities Sought
Capable of exerting influence and providing positive leadership.
Work experience on MOBA, Action RTS, Action RPG, or Related Genres.
Highly proficient in scripting environments.
Sharp sense of creativity, with a mind for character development, style, and narrative.
Ability to listen and be open-minded.
Willingness to be visible, available, and open to feedback – a collaborative believer in iteration.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the competitive space, game design trends, and the ability to predict gaming trends.
A true passion for games.
