Ignite Game Technologies is changing the way people think about racing games. Unencumbered by a single-player legacy, we are building from the ground up to be a multi-player world where racers from across the world can come to compete against each other in the most realistic environment ever developed. Our game is free to download and play. Just like in the real world, racers can pay to enter races and to buy higher performance vehicles; and just like in the real world, the people that do well in races can take home some serious prizes. Our game never gets “old.” We’re constantly adding new cars and tracks, and more importantly, we’re constantly adding new events where people can test their skill, impress their friends, and, if they’re good enough, take home some coin.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain a backend networking systems for a real time multi-player racing game, with monetization.
Port existing server code, from Windows to Linux.

Experience Requiredtop
Working knowledge of network architecture and protocols, including authentication and encryption.
Minimum of 5 years programming experience
3 years game coding experience
Minimum of 1 shipped multi-platform AAA title, on PC or Console.
Familiar with implementing client / server architecture
Fluent in C / C++, Javascript, HTML Able to work in a collaborative team environment
Passion for playing real time multi-player games
Pluses
Ruby on Rails, PHP, and other web based development languages.
Experience with bandwidth optimization
Computer science, EE, Mathematics, Physics, or a related degree
Prior development work on client / server game systems
