GAME ARTISTS & ANIMATORS


Responsibilities:


•   Create low poly and high poly models using 3D application(s)

•   Bring in-game characters to life through the construction of high-quality models and performance-based animations

•   Help guide all aspects of a in-game characters' visual design, including model, texture and animation

•   Communicate with the Team Leads to define and collaborate on a high-quality aesthetic vision for art assets

•   Work closely with the producer to create tasks and schedules for art and outsourcing studios

•   Inspire, motivate, and mentor other artists in best practices, processes, and procedures pertaining to production

•   Collaborate effectively with Marketing and PR teams to create and deliver high quality animated and rendered assets in support of the game

•   Create texture/shader (color, normal, specular, ambient occlusion, height, uv, and incandescent maps) using 2D/3D application(s)

•   Work within Maya and Photoshop to provide content to game engine

•   Work w/Lead Artist/Concept Artist to maintain art direction for the game

•   Deliver high-quality work consistently and on time

•   Collaborate w/ other departments (design, programming) to ensure art is implemented appropriately in the game engine and on time

•   Experiment with and/or evaluate techniques and/or art programs to improve efficiency, workflow, or pipeline contribution to game art

•   Enjoys hands-on modeling skills and working with a team on a fast-paced project



Qualifications:

•   3+ years of 3D art experience, including modeling, texturing, and lighting for shipped PC or console products

•   Advanced understanding of generating normal maps from high poly models

•   Strong foundation skills with the ability to work with detailed concept art, or reference art/ materials

•   An amazing modeling based artist who can build characters and direct others to get appealing results

•   Advanced Photoshop and Maya or current modeling software (Zbrush, Mudbox, etc.) expertise



Bonus Points:

•   Strong passion for gaming is a plus

•   Advanced understanding of complex node based shader networks

•   Strong traditional painting skills in both stylized and photorealistic styles

•   Environment modeling experience is a plus

•   Candidates in the Seattle Area

•   Self-motivated people who have worked hard to create their own projects
