Job Descriptiontop

Black Rock Studio [a Disney Interactive Studio] is currently looking for an experienced Senior Designer to join the team who are developing an unannounced arcade racing game on Xbox 360 & PS3.

We are looking for an energetic, experienced and passionate team player who will work to drive our studio to continued success.


Responsibilities:

• Understand the vision of the game to design key gameplay features.
• Take ownership of a specific area, expanding the high level brief into a comprehensive list of specific tasks / components
• Provide realistic estimates for deliverables with timely progress updates, highlighting issues and presenting potential solutions
• Demonstrate experience of working in an Agile environment and be an advocate of iterative design practices
• Collaborate with Feature Leads to efficiently design and validate game components



Essential Requirements:

• At least one successful shipped game on PS3/Xbox 360, in a similar role
• Worked as a core team member during the early phase of development
• Can demonstrate your design ideas in a successful game
• Extensive knowledge of games, especially in the racing / action genres
• Effective interpersonal & communication skills
• Enthusiastic, confident & positive personality
• A demonstrable track record of problem solving and creative thinking
