Summary:

Snowblind Studios, a division of WB Games Inc. seeks a Senior Artist/Animator to work closely with the lead animator to maintain and create high quality animations for both real time in game movement and pre-rendered animatics. Assists lead in helping define process and pipelines along with aesthetic goals.


  • Responsible for animating 3D character models in a realistic game, including working with motion capture data, hand keyframed animations and facial/lip synch animations.

  • Assists in R&D efforts for tools enhancements and prototyping of new technology.

  • Participates in departmental meetings to share personal ideas and define the look and feel of areas and characters.

  • Mentors more junior members of the animation team and serves as a repository of special knowledge for the group.



    Job Responsibilities:

  • Five to eight years of art and animation experience with at least two years working on animation systems for characters.

  • Has a record of successful art in titles and brings high level of artistic / animation accomplishment to the solution of artistic problems.



    Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification:

  • Minimum of 2-year 2D/3D art degree with an emphasis in character keyframe animation or equivalent work experience.



    Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.

  • Strong interest in computer games.

  • Must be proficient in one or more types of 3D software (Maya, 3D Studio Max, SoftImage, etc.).

  • Experience in developing martial arts fighting games is a plus.

  • Experience in developing first/third person action games a plus.
