2K Games develops and publishes top-line PC, console, and handheld entertainment software, with a strong concentration in three distinct categories: sports, high profile licenses and specialty product. Responsibilities: • Oversee coordination of all 2K retail-related marketing responsibilities with 2K divisions and North American Sales/Channel Marketing team. • Act as key liaison between 2K and Channel Marketing/Sales team. • Establish and maintain work processes, facilitate and initiate communication between all groups, and manage expectations of all parties. • Act jointly as a sales representative in the marketing teams and as a marketing representative on the sales team. • Work early in the process of product marketing planning with retailer-interests in mind. Expand opportunities for retail marketing by working closely with partner-marketing/business development managers and viral marketing team, in addition to product managers.
Asset & Sales Material Management: • Work with Sales/Channel Marketing to make sure all asset requests, promotions, etc. are planned and being handled by deadlines • Maintain a working schedule of due dates for sales materials and marketing assets o Work to be ahead of schedule with materials needed to maximize pre-release presence at major retail locations • Consolidate information on all 2K titles from various divisions and functional areas (PR, 1st-party relations, partner marketing, etc.) and act as a conduit for channeling this information to help our sales efforts • Keep commonly used templates and rate cards on file, and working closely with Sales/Channel Marketing, help expedite standard asset requests • Assist in the coordination of store manager promotional mailings • Understand retail timelines and based on those timelines anticipate POP deadlines • Work with 2K marketing teams to create and coordinate receipt of presentation materials for retail roadshows. A high degree of accuracy and expertise in the visual presentation of information is required.
Trade Shows: • Serve as the key 2K contact for retailer-specific tradeshows, sales-related conferences. Work on getting the best presence possible at all events to enable sales team to meet their objectives at each show/meeting. • Work with Channel Marketing to help coordinate 2KGames/2K Sports/2K Play portion of tradeshows. • Attend tradeshows and assist Channel Marketing with on-site responsibilities
Channel Marketing Plans: • Develop channel marketing plans in conjunction with sales team and marketing departments. • Review title-specific channel marketing plans with Sales and 2K throughout the lifecycle of each product. • Coordinate and track all 2K-driven retail spends (product manager production spends)
Miscellaneous: • Work with key local Novato retail stores to ensure maximum placement and support for 2K titles
Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ retail marketing or entertainment marketing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask. • Ability to interact with department heads, product managers, sales managers, outside vendors, and customers. • Ability to complete work independently and without close supervision. • Advanced PC skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong presentation skills a plus.
