Relic Entertainment, award winning developers of Homeworld, Dawn of War and the highest rated RTS of all time, Company of Heroes, is looking for an experienced and motivated SENIOR CHARACTER ARTIST to join our team. Experience freedom of creativity and know your contribution is valued and recognized - by the Relic team, and also by gamers and industry experts around the globe.

The Senior Artist position contributes at a very high level to the product and Relic as a whole. The Senior Artist should regularly be setting examples of communication, initiative, teamwork, and productivity while working to upgrade the skill and knowledge of the team and Art Department through mentoring, education, and direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Make creative decisions independently that fit into the existing art direction * Understand and work within the designated art direction * Help to define the art direction early in a project * Help define character production pipelines * Model and texture within specified art budgets * Work with animation team to deliver character art that accommodates animation requirements * Work with a minimal amount of direction * Supervise and mentor junior artists
REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree/diploma in one art discipline or equivalent experience (3D animation, illustration, painting, design etc) * Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a proficiency in 2D and 3D, with examples of life drawing and/or character designs that demonstrate a strong understanding of human anatomy * 4+ years experience in game development modeling and texturing characters using Max and Photoshop (or equivalent film experience) * Experience with Mudbox and/or Z-Brush * Portfolio should demonstrate the individual has a trained eye towards form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regards to modeling * Experience supervising a team of Artists (for a minimum of one project)
