Responsibilities: The Faculty member will develop curriculum and teach the Design and Development Analysis course in the Game Design Bachelor of Science Program. This course analyzes current video game design techniques and evaluates their success and failures. The Design and Development Analysis Course teaches students techniques used to deconstruct, reproduce and improve existing games based on a thorough analytical process. The ability to critically analyze other’s work is essential to the design phase of any project, and the video game industry is no exception to this. By playing and deconstructing games, students will learn the complicated design systems running behind the scenes in games and will compose documents to support their findings.
Candidate will mentor students, attend faculty development workshops, and participate in campus activities including meetings, special events, behind-the-scenes tours and graduation.
All faculty will work directly from the Full Sail campus in Winter Park, FL.
Requirements: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years professional experience working in the Game Industry.
Education/Training: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a minimum of 4 years professional Game Development experience.
Skills Needed: This is primarily a lecture position, so candidates must also demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, with previous educational experience preferred. Applicants must have a proven ability to create effective and engaging course curriculum.
