NetDevil was founded in 1997 in Louisville, CO as an independently owned and operated game development company dedicated to the construction of massively multiplayer universes. NetDevil is committed to creating immersive, interactive virtual worlds in unique settings outside the typical fantasy genre. NetDevil’s latest and biggest project to date is the recently revealed LEGO Universe, the first MMOG professionally developed for LEGO fans and supported by community members from around the world. NetDevil is also involved in numerous other projects and explorations, such as Warmonger, the first step in NetDevil's pursuit of a vision that will change the way online shooters are played, and Jumpgate Evolution which is a new game based on NetDevil's first title.
NetDevil, located in Louisville, CO, was founded in 1997 with the mission of developing massively multiplayer games in unique settings for wide audiences. The studio is currently developing Jumpgate Evolution and LEGO Universe as well as an original IP.
This position will be responsible for producing VFX for all areas on LEGO Universe, a large scale MMO.
Essential Functions:
* Must assist the Art Director in creating the documentation necessary to maintain and describe all pipelines for VFX creation to the Producer * Responsible producing VFX and associated assets * Responsible for previewing all VFX assets in the game Client prior to their release to the development environment * Must be an active participant in a bi-monthly Art Team meeting discussing Art related issues to productivity, process, work flow and quality * Must be an effective listener, able to resolve problems, empathic and decisive * Must take advantage of new technology features * Must motivate co-workers and foster a positive work environment * Must participate in game playtest sessions * Position reports to Art Director
Abilities:
* Must be able to assess risks * Must be able to anticipate art related requirements from design documentation * Must be able to take responsibility for decisions and actions * Proven Oral & Written Communications Skills * Proven Organizational and Analytical skills
Functional Knowledge:
* Photoshop * MAYA, or 3DSMax * Outlook * Word * Excel * Version Control Software * Must have a base understanding of scripting language. i.e. xml
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must have strong understanding VFX development and implementation * Must have strong people skills * Must be willing to relocate to Denver, CO area for full-time employment
