Community Developer | Ubisoft San Francisco  | San Francisco CA 94107 USA | Full Time
Job Description:
Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Community Developer who will work onsite within the development team reporting remotely to the Digital Marketing group. This person will provide a strong connection between the gaming community and the development team, managing key aspects of communication, asset development and working to expand the game experience. He/She will work with multiple departments worldwide.

Responsibilities:
• Work with Digital Marketing Manager to determine the gaming community status and needs for the assigned product or franchise.
• Create community-focused assets such as video blogs, podcasts, interviews, annotated screenshots and game tips and tricks.
• Implement and monitor metrics to evaluate success and ROI of community /online projects and initiatives.
• Coordinate communication with multiple departments for consistent messaging.
• Coordinate within Digital/International Marketing and Development to produce blog content and other dev team assets for community, as applicable.
• Represent the stated community needs to the Development Team
• Manage post launch support communication in conjunction with Digital Marketing to set expectations on applicable situations such as patch content, status and delivery.
• Develop and manage mod-making community
• Develop and manage successful betas and report internally on community feedback to improve final product
• Coordinate events involving studio visits from fans, chats with Development Team, and tournament support
• International travel required

Qualifications:
• Passion for gaming and knowledge of online communities mandatory
• Extensive gaming experience with multiple gaming platforms and genres mandatory
• Ability to write basic HTML, with 1 year of web production experience minimum.
• Experience with content management system(s)
• Strong, demonstrated writing skills mandatory
• Extensive knowledge of Internet tools such as IRC, ICQ and online game chat functions preferred
• Forum moderation experience preferred
• Experience either running a fan site or participating in an online gaming clan or guild a plus
• Proven skill with MSOffice and Adobe suites; ability to learn proprietary software packages as needed
• Foreign language and/or willingness to learn a plus.
