Responsibilities: * Create texture maps and surface shaders that transform gray 3D models into lush game environments and richly detailed characters to amplify our game play goals. * Meet consistently high standard of quality. * Seek feedback from peers and leads.
Qualifications: * At least one year of experience demonstrating texturing professional quality 3D game levels or game characters. * Must be able to provide samples either through a shipped product, level file, or screenshots. * Professional experience using normal maps, specular maps and high resolution modeling software like ZBrush, Mudbox or similar, strongly preferred. * 2 year 2D/3D art degree, architecture degree, or equivalent preferred.
Additional Skills and Pluses: * Must have a passion for games and interactive entertainment. You've got to know something about games; if you don't play them you're going to be at a big disadvantage on the job. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are expected. You need to be comfortable asking questions and making requests of designers, programmers and artists. * Must be autonomous, responsible, organized and professional. * Applicants should expect to take a test.
Portfolio: * A portfolio review is required. We prefer web-based submissions, but will evaluate DVDs if necessary. Portfolio must show low-poly models with normal maps and textures, as well as renders of your high-poly models.
