Harmonix is seeking a Senior Technical Artist to research and develop techniques that will increase the efficiency of our artists and allow us to continually advance the bold artistic style of our games.
Located in Cambridge, MA, Harmonix is the developer of award-winning and widely-acclaimed music and rhythm games like the recently-released The Beatles: Rock Band.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain the integrity of our art pipelines by identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements
* Develop tools & promote best practices for artists
* Facilitate communication between artists & programmers
* Collaborate with a diverse team to promote innovation and refine the visual quality of our games
Qualifications:
* Expert-level familiarity with 3DS Max or equivalent application
* Demonstrated proficiency with common scripting languages (Maxscript, Python, etc.)
* 5+ years games industry experience
* At least one shipped title
* Strong understanding of fundamental fine art aesthetics
* Strong understanding of next-gen 3d art creation, including rigging, skinning, normal maps, and shader creation
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Desire to create games that do not follow traditional game-art styles
* BFA from an accredited art college
Sample Work Required:
* An online portfolio that is kept up to date is preferred over hard copy or DVD.
