Bungie requires the skills and services of a ruthlessly competent Senior Network Engineer to help us build on our already-dizzying heights of netcode excellence. Do you obsess over the number of bits required to replicate a unit vector? Do you enjoy designing unbreakable state machines to guide dozens of peers through complex tasks? Have you ever estimated the upstream and downstream bandwidth requirements for a socket into the Matrix? Bring us your brilliance, bring us your fire! Essential Functions • Own vast sections of our multiplayer game engine. • Relentlessly improve our online experience. • Work with designers to specify and cost multiplayer features.
Desired Qualifications • Multiple years of professional experience. • Skilled at writing robust, efficient, and maintainable C/C++ code. • Proven ability to design and maintain large systems. • Knowledge of networking protocols and patterns used for online games. • Passion for playing and developing exceptional console games. • Good communication skills.
