With our innovative technology, we’re combining the best of online, gaming and traditional media to revolutionize the way server based games are designed, developed, and delivered.


Requirements
• 3+ years game design experience including systems design experience on a shipped product.
• Experience with data-driven game systems and a familiarity with database structure and management.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Absolute passion for playing and making computer games.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong game design skills: must be able to intelligently discuss the strengths of weaknesses of recent games.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills, i.e., ability to convey ideas and concepts in a clear, detailed, and organized manner through verbal and written communication.
• Collaborate with your team to create and refine game-play mechanics.
• Prioritize well and meet deadlines, communicate progress with the lead designer well and frequently.
• A passion for developing for high quality games is expected.
• Experience playing games of many different types.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to creatively/analytically problem solve.
• Must be comfortable working in a team-based environment.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic.
• Highly creative and innovative with the ability to gain support for new ideas across departments.
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to write comprehensive documents and communicate those to teams.
• SQL knowledge a plus.
• Programming knowledge a plus.


Responsibilities
This position involves creating game systems and using specialized tools to edit game data, working within an overall game design established by others.
• Collaborate with your lead and fellow design team members to develop core game concepts, game systems, and game content.
• Ownership or shared-ownership of specific game content as determined by the lead.
• Aggressively prototype and iterate on core game mechanics and content.
• Balance and adjust game-play experiences to ensure the product's critical and commercial success.
• Works closely with project team members to execute design and work through design revisions as needed.
• Learn proprietary tools quickly and work within a complex asset development pipeline.
• Iterate over previously implemented content, with an eye toward improving flow and game play experience.
• Write specs that explain new content and incorporate feedback into those documents.
• Be prepared to receive constructive criticism, and respond to it positively
• Work within defined schedules.
• Ensures that prototypes are developed and champions tools and process improvements for more efficient content development.
• Participates in regular, hands-on interaction with producers and team members to ensure that the concepts and content of assigned games meet design requirements.
• Partner with others of the design team to develop new game systems and concepts.
