Description

The Audio Developer Support Engineer supports our development community across all of our supported platforms.
Overall, the position is expected to:

* Answer technical questions from our licensees regarding platform development issues
* These will be primarily addressed through our proprietary web interface, and occasionally through email, telephone, and in person
* Create and maintain tools, libraries and sample code on all PlayStation platforms and PC that provide benefit for licensed developers
* Create presentations based on research and deliver to licensees.
* Will accompany developer support group and travel to developers as needed
* Develop documentation and materials from research and knowledge gained from other teams

Qualifications


Candidates must have 2-3 years of audio-related programming experience using C or C++

* Candidates must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of DSP programming, audio codecs, techniques and related topics
* Candidates must have an understanding of common implementation patterns in games
* Ideal candidates will already have some console game development experience, and the candidate should be willing to learn new hardware platforms, and related APIs
* Ideal candidates will have additional knowledge and/or experience with game-specific issues such as middleware integration, movie/audio synchronization, streaming, Voice Over IP, audio and video chat, user customized sound tracks, etc.
* Ideal candidates will have a college degree
