Activision's new Bay Area studio is looking for a talented Lead Level Designer to help drive the design for our exciting title based on a successful Activision owned IP. The Lead Level Designer will be part of our core team and will play a critical role working closely with designers to design and implement levels that have exceptional layout and story integration. Responsibilities: • Design levels that have exceptional layout and story integration, from paper map to final execution. • Work with other designers to improve their levels and communicate metrics and new features. • Research the game's subject matter. • Collaborate with the design team to create and refine gameplay mechanics. • Prioritize and meet deadlines; communicate progress with the Creative Director frequently and effectively.
Qualifications: • 5-10 years of design experience with at least 2 AAA credited titles. • Demonstrable experience making fun visually impressive 3d levels. • Strong communication skills. Takes and understands direction well, meets deadlines and handles multiple tasks. • Strong game design skills; must be able to intelligently discuss the strengths and weaknesses of recent games.
Pluses: • Drawing/art skills. • Writing skills. • Programming and or scripting experience. • Professional full time industry experience.
