KOEI CANADA Inc. is a game development studio located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of KOEI Co., Ltd. (Japan) and was established as Koei's flagship North American development studio. We just wrapped up work on the PSP port of "Dynasty Warriors 6" (JP only) and currently working on a new action game titled "Warriors: Legends of Troy" for consoles, and plan on developing games for all consoles systems and for PCs.
KOEI CANADA Inc. is looking to hire an experienced CG Animator to work at our office in downtown Toronto on a full-time contract basis until the end of February 2010.
As a CG Animator, you will be working primarily on character animation for our current project "Warriors: Legends of Troy" with our CG and Development staff. You are able to meet deadlines, be responsible for the work given to you, and as a result be involved to see the project through to completion. As it is an action game, you are interested in the action genre of games. The ability to communicate in both English and Japanese is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• A diploma or degree from a visual, interactive or fine arts program. • 2 - 3 years CG animation work experience preferably in the video game industry, however highly skilled individuals from other industries (e.g. movie, television, commercials) will be considered • Minimum 2 years related work experience using XSI. • Fluent in English and Japanese. • Some rigging and scripting (VB script or Python) experience. • Experience creating weapon animations • Experience creating animation from MoCap data • Ability to create realistic, not cartoonish, human motion • Passionate and curious about learning new skills and technologies. • Excellent communication skills. • Highly creative and motivated. • Can respond easily to changes and cooperate with others. • Strong sense of responsibility. • Enjoys an active lifestyle.
