Vigil Games is looking for a passionate systems designer to help develop our MMO based on the Warhammer 40,000 IP. Interested applicants should have a strong design sense, MMO experience, and a thorough understanding of games and game-play mechanics. A strong candidate will have some knowledge of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with the Lead Designer to implement gameplay • Balance and adjust gameplay experiences to ensure the product’s critical and commercial success. • Using existing documentation as a guideline, implement game mechanics using proprietary tools. • Contribute to ongoing tools development
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years experience in game design or level design • Design experience on MMO game titles a plus. • Proven success and passion in creating compelling gameplay activities• Strong organizational skills: ability to keep track of minute details as well as the big picture while multitasking. • Ability to both conceptualize and implement game ideas using various tools and technology. • Previous scripting and programming experience highly desirable. • Knowledge of Warhammer 40,000 a huge plus. • An avid gamer, especially in the MMO genre
