Ability to allocate time and resources to ensure the accuracy and speed of work. Maintain productivity, output and deadlines for the Multimedia department. Help management to evaluate staffing needs and abilities. Providefeedback to Producers on the quality of their products. Ensure proper protocols are being met for a productive environment. Contribute to the Technical and Artistic creation of Dynamic Themes. Adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Insure the viability of the department and how it works with Product Development and the Marketing group. Conduct workflow analysis to insure proper procedures and techniques are being followed. Conduct time study analysis for all aspects of Video Service production to utilize during the budgeting process. Be able to evaluate pipelines to maximize time and throughput. Help to create and interpret 2D compositions into a 3D dynamic 'scene' using Java scripting and Maya. Needs to have a good eye for Composition and understand the limitations of the final output. Create and Maintain production schedules, while developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships. Setup process, protocol, and operations for the Multimedia department. Provide assistance to Producers to ensure creative and innovative ideas.
Qualifications
Must be familiar with the process of editing, compositing and live production. The Technical Artist should evaluate current pipeline procedures to ensure feasibility. Pipelines should be maintained and flexible to match the changing production needs. Strong Maya & Java scripting skills required. Additional expertise in After Effects, Cinema 4D and Final Cut Pro are desirable. Must be prepared for sudden changes brought by the client. Anticipating and restructuring to ensure the final product is what was needed. Must be self motivated and able to work independently if necessary. 3 plus years of experience in the Video production, computer graphics, film, television, games and or digital media industry. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, 3D Graphic Art, or related field or equivalent preferred. It is the policy of Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc.
