SGN is seeking an exceptional talent to bring onto the team and continue the long tradition of visually stunning and award winning titles. The Art Director will provide creative vision of our properties through cost-effective art leadership and management, while maintaining a high level of artistic and technical quality and consistency.
We run small core teams with significant autonomy to create excellent games in short time frames. We are looking for new team members who have a philosophy of supporting all discipline in a collaborative way.
At SGN there are clear roles, responsibilities and authority, but buy-in and collaboration are core values. The Art Director will work closely with the Creative Director, Art Leads and Game Designers on all aspects of the game’s look and feel. Our AD will head teams in-house, as well as act as the direct liaison with the external licensor’s art directors
Requirements:
• 5+ years of print and online experience in a deadline sensitive environment. • 3 years of experience in creation of characters / environments / artistic media and management of an artistic team. • Minimum 7 years experience working as an artist. • Experience working in the videogame industry preferred. • Proven track record with highly sensitive, license-based projects. • Expert level skills in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator • Working knowledge of online graphics tools, techniques and work processes • A BA/BFA degree from accredited art institution is preferred, but not required for a talented, knowledgeable person.
