Position Summary: The Executive Producer is the visionary for the product and the person who builds the team and motivates them to accomplish their goals of shipping a high quality, entertaining experience on time and on budget. The Executive Producer also provides the link between the studio and the THQ marketing and sales departments.
Essential Job Functions: • Leads a highly effective product management team • Accountable for setting and meeting product line budgets • Ensures that schedules and deliverables meet defined objectives and quality standards • Provides studio teams vision in areas including but not limited to production, employee development, and employee relations • Works closely with marketing and PR teams to ensure effective promotion and distribution • Ensures regular project visibility to key stakeholders • Remains stationary for long periods of time while working in front of a computer • Manipulates a keyboard, mouse, and/or other input device • Participates in studio-sanctioned training courses • Performs other similar or related duties as necessary
Experience/Skills: • More than 10 years of industry experience • Extensive knowledge of game industry • Proven ability to inspire and lead teams • Shipped at least 2 projects from start to finish in a senior production capacity • Strong creative instincts • Experience in critical analysis of project scheduling process • Strong process, organizational, and business skills • Strong people management and problem-solving skills, to include conflict management and resolution • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships • Ability to multi-task and to adapt easily to change
Education/Certification/Licensing: Bachelor’s (BA) degree from accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience
