Who We Are Telltale is a new breed of interactive entertainment company that is ideally positioned to capture a significant share of the fastest-growing market segment in the game industry. The company was founded in 2004 by three game development veterans, each with over a decade of leadership experience in the entertainment, game, and online industries. The founders' experience culminated at LucasArts Entertainment Company (LEC), developer of Star Wars and Indiana Jones games, as well as seven of the all-time top 20 games in the adventure genre.
Our Goals Telltale is poised to become the interactive equivalent of a broadcast television channel. We have already begun to accomplish this by creating, developing, and publishing multiple video game series based upon popular stories and characters. The company's goal is to be the leader in interactive episodic storytelling.
Telltale Public Relations manages the "voice" and communications of the company with the editorial, fan and business communities. The Public Relations Manager will drive both strategic plans for press communications (working with Marketing, Web and Senior Management), as well as daily contact with gaming, enthusiast, and mainstream press: coordinating coverage, distributing review copies, arranging interviews and in-person demos, distributing assets, answering questions, and serving as a reliable, approachable, and helpful contact the press can turn to for any information they may need. Public Relations is also responsible for maintaining and building Telltale’s press database, creating press and marketing materials (press releases, asset discs, fact sheets, etc.), planning and participating in press events, and coordinating Telltale's trade show presence.
Unlike some game companies with only a few big game releases each year, Telltale typically releases a new game episode at least once a month and periodically has multiple series running concurrently. The PR Manager must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
