Job Description:
We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Senior UI Artist to work closely with the UI Lead, Engineers, and Game Designers for our fantasy based MMO. The User Interface Artist will play a role in conceptualizing, designing, and creating art for interactive systems that enhances the overall aesthetic of the game. This position is excellent for those that love graphic design and video games.


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with UI Director, Art Director, Design, and Programming teams to conceptualize, build and implement 2D front-end game interfaces and in-game display HUDs that fit with the style defined by the game
• Must possess working knowledge of game engines and artist tools. Keep abreast of any changes and improvements made to the game engine and UI production pipeline during development and work with the Lead Artists, Technical Artists and Tools Programmers to create and augment UI workflow to speed up production

REQUIREMENTS
• UI Artist must be able to demonstrate a broad range of skills including core graphic design competencies (layout, typography, and color)
• Excellent understanding of user interface design and the ability to generate design ideas quickly
• Portfolio or reel demonstrating strong competency in Adobe Flash
• Strong knowledge of the flow and function of Video Game interfaces
• Art related college degree: BA or BFA
• Mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator

PLUSES
• Knowledge of After Effects or Premiere
• Animation background and/or an understanding of animation principles
