Develop and cultivate strategic relationships with employers in and around the areas where there are Westwood College (or affiliated) graduates and/or campuses.
· Identify employer needs – generate job leads for Westwood Graduates through traditional contact management processes including cold calling, calling and networking through events, managing purchased contact lists, internet contact research, email, IM, text messaging and other social media strategies.
· Effectively network with community organizations, industry, trade and professional associations, and non-profit groups within the community surrounding our campuses -- could include attending regional and national conferences for trade associations.
· Manage ERM budget.
· Partner with Vice President of Career Services to create ERM communication/marketing plan targeted at heightening .employers’ awareness of programs/campus, students, alumni, and Career Services (CS).
· Plan and execute events to improve community presence and awareness of the campuses you serve.
· Generate internship, externship and employment opportunities for students and graduates.
· Create opportunities for strategic alliances, collaborations, and partnerships with employers, including guest speaking engagements, participation in Program Advisory Committees (PACs), and other integration between community employers and the campuses.
· Identify and secure student career development opportunities such as career exploration trips/tours, job shadowing, mentoring, etc.
· Maintain thorough knowledge of job markets and targeted industries, including industry trends, company market shares, tools and technologies in the industry, communicate and share information regularly with campuses and central administration.
· Build strong working relationships with campus Career Services and Education staff to help ensure employment goals are met, includes actively seeking information from campuses about how to effectively assist them with proactively providing constructive, consistent and timely employer feedback to Director of CS.
· Create and maintain accurate employer data base and progress reports.
· Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of campus employment goals and . benchmarks.
· Participate in CDS management and campus team meetings.
· Conduct and analyze multiple employer-related evaluations and surveys.
· Develop collaborative and productive partnerships with Business Development (Admissions) staff .
· Assist Central Administration with securing adequate employer testimonials for marketing materials.
· Self –motivation, willingness and ability to be highly productive without constant direct supervision.
· Must be able to work evenings and weekends with some regularity.
· Some travel required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, masters degree or equivalent working knowledge preferred Minimum of three years employed in or working with the GAMING INDUSTRY, community management or gaming industry recruiting experience ideal. Minimum of 5 years in recruiting, sales, sales support, employer relations and/or college relations with extensive public contact and customer services ideal. Supervisory and successful relationship-building experience. Goal oriented with previous experience successfully managing to metrics in a fast-paced work environment. Energetic, organized, detail oriented, and possess strong team building skills. Excellent interpersonal skills supporting the ability to work effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituents. Have a passion for educational services and the achievement of successful student outcomes. Strong project management skills and the ability to drive a successful external relations strategy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience making presentations to internal and external audiences. Ability to work both independently and as a team member in a heavily matrixed environment. Proficient user of PC and Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
