SUMMARY: This role will drive the strategic relationships and partnerships with key media partners, third party publishers, content licensees and media distribution companies where we exchange assets in order to acquire co marketing, content distribution and associated revenue share where available. In addition, this position will oversee all branded entertainment opportunities, including PSN, You Tube and Home based activations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Identify media partners such as Yahoo, You Tube, Crackle, and SPE minisodes Channel in which we can develop content distribution and promotional relationships in exchange for providing them with compelling promotional content.
•Steward the negotiations for generating marketing exposure and/or revenue share opportunities in conjunction with these promotional relationships. These revenue opportunities can be a function of lead generation payment or display ad revenue share generated by the page views of our content.
•Manage the marketing partnerships needs of PlayStation Network and Home. Work with these teams to develop key partners who can provide relevant content to ps3 portal, product integration into the digital magazine segments, and promotional tie ins to drive traffic for PSN and Home.
•Oversee product placement and integration opportunities for hardware, software and key third party companies with key strategic lifestyle partners in film and music.
•Lead the co marketing opportunities with sister companies such as Sony BMG and Sony Professional.
•Identify and establish key destination partnerships such as stadiums, and amusement parks where we can establish a permanent installation that serves as a unique promotional platform and network to leverage third party games and brand partner exposure.
•Establish and lead relationships with key media and content companies such as Music Today, eMusic, Rolling Stone Magazine, US Weekly, and Entertainment Weekly where we can bundle subscription benefits into a promotional program without incurring any cost to us.
•Develop revenue goals and objectives associated with the development of these distribution systems and promotional platforms leveraged with key brand partners.
•Directly manage staff members day to day execution and deliverables for the above strategies and objectives. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
•Diverse skill set that includes the ability to conceptualize, quantify, communicate and implement strategic marketing /media partnerships.
•Knowledge base to include but not limited to production, content development and distribution.
•Expertise in branded entertainment negotiation and management of such negotiated executions.
•Strong knowledge base with regards to digital trends and the digital media arena with an understanding of how emerging technologies are changing the consumer’s ability to access entertainment.
•Comprehensive understanding of consumer interaction with technology, and new media distribution systems.
•Experience in successfully growing a team and maintaining a high level of engagement and support for that team.
•Proven success in building scalable business models which can effectively leverage the demographic value of SCEA consumers base.
•Motivated self starter with communication and project management skills, who can react effectively in situations that require quick response and turnaround.
•Strong written and verbal communication oral skills and can tailor communication for the needs of audience.
•Successful presentation development as well as strong presentation execution for small and large groups.
Qualifications: Required Experience / Education:
•7+ years in the media marketing, branded entertainment space and social media.
•4 year College Degree in Marketing, Media, Business or other related field.
•Gaming as a key passion. Preferred Experience / Education:
•Internet based media business.
•HTML , Final Cut Pro, Illustrator Experience.
