RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitate the creation of high quality Next-Gen game assets. (XBOX 360, PS3) • Collaborate efficiently with Rendering Engineers to reach creative solutions to rendering challenges. • Be enthusiastic and ready to take on new challenges. • Be willing to learn (and teach) new tools and techniques. • Be meticulous and organized in design approach to pipeline workflow. • Take ownership for tasks assigned, be accountable for work, and follow through. • Be responsible for communicating ideas and problems. • Writing technical documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
• Previous game industry experience with shipped titles. • Strong problem-solving abilities. • Ability to quickly learn new software applications. • Scripting; ability to control software application via an extension language. • Ability to manage asset volumes, batch processing, pipeline design. • Strong understanding of shader networks. • General understanding of Create-a-Character systems. • Understanding of Next-Gen texture map types and compression methods. • Understanding of 3D game development lighting techniques. • Manage time wisely, take on accountability, and maintain proper pacing to reach deadlines. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Must be eligible to work in the US.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE
• Proficient in Lua and/or Python desired. • Proficient in C++ debugging a plus. • Proficient in 3D Sculpting/Modeling a plus. • Proficient in UV Layout a plus. • Understanding of Character Rigging, Cloth & Hair systems, a plus. • Understanding of human anatomy & Kinesiology, a plus. • Other disciplines, a plus (illustration, graphic arts, editing, compositing, etc.)
