Responsibilities:
PLAYSTATION®Network is an emergent entertainment network delivering innovative content and community to a worldwide audience, and the newest division of SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment Amercia).
We are currently seeking a Home Content Producer to develop content strategies for the highly-anticipated PlayStation®Home, a 3D community-based service set to revolutionize the broadband entertainment world. Specific responsibilities include:
• Develop content strategies for Home to achieve Home business objectives. - Content is virtual assets and lobbies within Home. • Direct the development of virtual assets. Ensure Home virtual assets portfolio is optimized to meet needs of game publishers (first party and third party), and advertisers. • Coordinate development efforts of Home content. - Act as a liaison between 1st and 3rd party game publishers / advertisers and external developers of Home content. • Coordinate within organization to ensure content is appropriately scheduled, produced, marketed, and positioned according to game publisher / advertiser strategies and Home content strategies. • Identify 3rd party content production companies and work closely with them to develop virtual asset strategies. • Analyze community response to content and iterate strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
• Digital media related industry experience required. Professional experience in gaming industry a plus. • Excellent intrapersonal skills – must be able to develop and maintain relationships with 3rd party publishers, advertisers, and content developers. Must be able to direct and supervise projects to achieve goals and objectives. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information, work well with others and handle a high-pressure environment. Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically through multiple groups a must. • Strong oral and written communication skills required. Must be articulate and professional, as this position is required to present to several groups internally and externally – including the press. Well-written, thought out plans and briefs are essential. Clear and concise email communication is also important. • Must have strong and demonstrated eye for quality content. Experience developing creative vision and providing artistic direction preferred but not required. • Must be able to define a strategy and goals in the context of a highly competitive, quickly changing marketplace. Must be able to effectively allocate resources to ensure completion of plans.
