Located in Aliso Viejo, California, Carbine was founded in 2005 as a division of NCsoft North America by ten former members of Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft core development team. Since that time the studio has grown considerably, drawing some of the top talent in the industry; many of Carbine's talented employees have worked on such award-winning products as Diablo II, StarCraft, Metroid Prime, Fallout, Everquest and a number of other successful titles.

Carbine Studios, a software development company focused on making high-quality, cutting-edge, and conceptually innovative Massively Multiplayer Games, is seeking a talented Senior 3D Artist to work on an upcoming PC MMO in our Orange County, CA development studio.
This person will be responsible for modeling and painting highly-stylized “hand” painted texture maps, and UV mapping for objects in the world. They will create a wide variety of constructed objects as well as natural organic objects ranging from large ships to trees and rock formations. For this position, we are interested in a high level of creativity and passion, and 4 years+ of experience on several shipped titles.
Job Qualifications (be specific): • Solid familiarity with significant 3D content creation tools (Maya, 3DSMax, Softimage XSI), Photoshop and other core tools. • Must be able to work within an established art style • Strong traditional and digital art skills • Excellent communication and team skills • Self motivated, with a strong work ethic • 4 years experience in the game industry • At least 2 shipped titles • The ability to set the bar for quality and communicate that to others. • A passion for creating and playing video games
