K2 currently operates and services five online game titles including Knight Online, Global Mu Online, and War Rock, Sword of the New World and Red Stone.
We are currently seeking an Associate Producer of Online Game Publishing who assists in creating game development opportunities by utilizing licensed Intellectual Property. The Associate Producer of Publishing works closely with the Producer of Game Operations to ensure effective transfer of titles from agreement to live operations. This individual is responsible for all matters relating to Licensor communication, such as trafficking approvals, relations, coordinating licensor milestone reviews, PR/Marketing coordination, and concept integration.
The ideal candidate has shipped at least one game title, is self-driven, possesses excellent communication skills, is highly organized, and has a complete understanding of how online game development and post operations are managed successfully. The Associate Producer of Publishing will work with people both inside and outside of K2 Network and must exhibit top-notch professionalism, possess the ability to create and give high-level presentations, and be able to travel at a moments notice.
Daily Responsibilities:
•Liaises between the Publishing Department and Game Operations •Provides the contractual direction, information, and guidance necessary for the Operations Producer to produce new game content •Works with the Marketing and Public Relation groups •Manages the relationship with Licensors on IP based titles •Liaises with other internal departments as needed •Occasional travels internationally to assist in game evaluations and close business deals
Minimum Requirements:
•3+ years of experience in the gaming or entertainment industry with increasing levels of responsibility •Passion for games, including MMOs and Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) •Familiarity with current online PC game titles •Solid understanding of licensed merchandise business and operating models •Initiative and positive attitude in a rapidly changing environment •Great organizational skills and strong attention to detail •Excellent written and oral communication skills •Experience creating and managing an asset approval pipeline •Proficiency with MS Office (including Word and Excel) and MS Project •Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree or equivalent industry experience
Major Pluses:
•Experience in the Entertainment industry, particularly with Consumer Products, Digital Media, and/or Interactive •Experience organizing and delivering presentations •Experience assiting in the production of 1 – 2 published game titles (PC MMO titles preferred) •Fluency in Korean, German, Portuguese, and Turkish
