The University of Baltimore is the public undergraduate, graduate and professional University located in the heart of the state's largest city.

As any local will tell you, the nickname "Charm City" is not hype but a way of life. Baltimore's "big, small-town" feel, patchwork of neighborhoods, wonderful architecture and eccentric vibe have an appeal all their own. And with the city that's almost 300 years old, there's a lot to explore. The University is located in the cultural center of Baltimore within walking distance of the harbor, restaurants, theaters and symphony hall.

UB is Baltimore's most central and accessible college campus. It's close to major highways and to every kind of public transportation, so getting around town is simple. Or you can just walk across the street to the city's Penn Station and hop a train for a quick trip to Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia; New York; or other major East Coast destinations.

Our Strategic Plan includes four major objectives:
· to enhance the learning experience at UB as measured by retention and graduation rates, student satisfaction indicators and job placement data
· to grow student headcount to 8,000 to serve state educational and workforce needs
· to achieve national ranking and recognition in select academic areas
· to secure the necessary resources to fully implement and support the University of Baltimore's overarching vision.

The University of Baltimore is part of the University System of Maryland and has four academic units: The Law School, The Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Public Administration, and the Merrick School of Business.
