Primary Function(s)
The primary purpose of the Associate Marketing Manager role is to develop, execute, and lead global marketing programs for assigned brands and titles and measure them against a set of key performance indicators. You will also help nurture the success of games after launch, to include working with team members on features or content that keep our titles competitive.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and lead global communication strategies across a variety of titles and franchises against a set of key performance indicators.
- Serve as marketing ambassador within the company to create visibility among supporting teams
- Interact directly with Sega’s creative team and ad agencies to create enticing acquisition & retention marketing campaigns
- Work with marketing, creative services, legal, and product development teams on creation and approval of marketing assets
- Work with PR and community teams globally to plan key beats for pre-launch campaigns, major content updates and price point activity
- Analyze performance of all marketing programs including ad spend, to identify the best opportunities for optimization, and regularly iterate to maximize performance
- Continue marketing efforts post-launch of game to help stimulate sales and drive user acquisition
- Work with licensing team to secure music, visuals, and other creative assets for use in the marketing campaign and in-game
- Become an expert in the breadth and depth of gaming and advertising on selected smartphone platforms (iOS, Android, Windows)
- Work with Product Development teams (PD) to identify market opportunities for creating games that are suitable to the marketplace
- Work with PD to implement SDKs and other features that help monetize and market the game or other SEGA brands
- Work with other Third parties to seek out promotional opportunities and co-marketing opportunities and partnerships
- Work with First Parties to secure beneficial placement of assigned titles
- Create marketing materials and facilitate sweepstakes as necessary
- Manage submissions of all digital assets and product information to First Party, ESRB and PR partners, partnering with First Party Relations group
- Assist in organizing and hosting of promotional events and trade shows
- Demonstrate game internally and externally as necessary
- Create marketing presentations for external use to communicate with business partners about the games
- Guide Market Research with the development of focus group discussion guides and questionnaires
- Write evaluations of games, competitive analyses of games, and develop market trend analyses
- Assist Sr. Marketing Manager with marketing initiatives from start to finish
- For multiplatform titles co-ordinate key beats, launches and price point activity with the PC Download Team. Search for ways to align activity to further enhance consumer buzz
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills
- Acumen for numbers, analytical mindset. Experience of interpreting data, driving insight and optimizing performance
- Knowledge of service-games and microtransaction economies
- Excellent personal interaction skills –must be able to work with teams in different countries
- Experience with creating and editing art and video assets is helpful
- Understands social media including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, forums, blogs and the broader entertainment industry trends with these platforms
- Passion for gaming on many different platforms / devices
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to address unforeseen problems creatively, patiently, and tactfully
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
- Previous experience in community management, online marketing, social media marketing or public relations
- Proficiency with MS Office, Photoshop, Facebook, Twitter,
- Fluency in Japanese language is a plus but not required.
Travel requirement: approx. 15-20%
