The Platform Lead will help to build and manage the micro-transaction platform technology for our online game.



Responsibilities

Lead a team of software engineers in the design and implementation of micro-transaction systems and services
Assist with design and architectural oversight of new service components as needed
Participate in the testing process through unit test development, test reviews, and analysis
Assist with fixing design and implementation level bugs and resolving issues as assigned
Mentor other engineers and ensure system quality by performing code and design reviews
Document systems thoroughly, both in terms of design and implementation
Display ownership of quality from inception to deployment
Provide ongoing support for existing applications
Managing the studio BI group which includes the Analytics team
Other duties and responsibilities as required


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering training and experience
Experience with C/C++
Experience with PHP
Experience developing medium to large-scale software applications, with load balancing and high availability
Experience with SQL (MySQL, MS-SQL, Oracle)
Front-end experience working with user interfaces with an eye towards usability
Familiarity with the following: C#, .Net, Java, JavaScript, Web Services (SOAP), REST
Strong management skills

Desired

Experience with any of the following: network security, shell scripting, XML-RPC, installers, patchers, release management, or data warehouse management
Knowledge of and passion for online games
Familiarity with the open source development community, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS
2 or more years managing a team of developers
Experience with agile, scrum processes
Game industry experience
